FRONTIERS SPECIALTY CHIEF EDITOR APPOINTMENT LETTER
To whom it may concern,
We are very pleased and honored to have welcomed Professor Roongroj Bhidayasiri as Specialty
Chief Editor for the section Neurotechnology in Frontiers in Neurology. He was selected for this role
based on his expertise in the field, and we would like to hereby formalize his volunteer appointment.
He accepted this role as of 16th October 2022.
Specialty Chief Editors define the editorial scope for their Specialty and have the responsibility for
leading and supervising the activities related to their section and providing support and guidance to the
Editorial Board.
Specialty Chief Editors are expected to build and maintain a strong board of Associate Editors to
ensure manuscripts are handled by relevant experts and that the peer review is of the highest quality,
efficiency and transparency. The Specialty Chief Editors are empowered to act at all levels and at any
stage of the peer review process in a system of editorial ‘checks and balances’.
While this is essentially a volunteer appointment, the role of Specialty Chief Editor is critical to ensure
the strong growth of highest quality articles published in Frontiers, and Professor Bhidayasiri’s active
involvement will thus be essential.
The section is expected to launch in December 2022.
